Navratri 2021: According to the Hindu calendar, the festival of Navratri is celebrated four times a year, which falls in the months of Sharad, Chaitra, Magha and Ashadha. Navratri falling in the month of Sharad and Chaitra is special for the devotees of Goddess Durga, while Navratri falling in the month of Magha and Ashadha is considered important for Tantriks and Aghoris, which is called Gupt Navratri. During these 9 days, the devotees are absorbed in the devotion of Maa Durga and worship her day and night.

On the first day of Sharad Navratri, the first form of Maa Durga is worshiped, Maa Shailputri, who is a symbol of the moon. Worshiping Maa Shailputri removes all bad effects and omen. On this day devotees should wear yellow colored clothes.


Dwitiya Date:- 8 October 2021, Friday


The second form of Maa Durga is Maa Brahmacharini and there is a law to worship her on the second day of Sharad Navratri. Maa Brahmacharini represents the planet Mars and the devotee who worships Maa Brahmacharini with a sincere heart, all his sorrows, pains and troubles are removed. Wear green colored clothes while worshiping Maa Brahmacharini.


Tritiya date:- 9 October 2021, Saturday


Mother Chandraghanta is worshiped on the third day of Navratri, who controls the planet Venus. Worshiping them brings power and removes all kinds of fears. Wear gray colored clothes in the worship of Maa Chandraghanta.


Chaturthi Date:- 9 October 2021, Saturday


On the fourth day of Sharad Navratri, there is a ritual of worshiping Maa Kushmanda, who represents the Sun God. Wearing orange colored clothes on Chaturthi Tithi is considered auspicious. Worshiping Maa Kushmanda removes all the troubles that may come in the future.


Panchami Tithi:- 10 October 2021, Sunday


Goddess Skandmata, who controls the planet Mercury, is worshiped on the fifth day of Sharad Navratri. The devotee who worships Maa Skandmata is showered with special blessings of the mother. Wearing white colored clothes on Panchami Tithi is considered favorable.


Shashthi date:- 11 October 2021, Monday


The Shashthi Tithi of Sharad Navratri is dedicated to Mother Katyayani. Wearing red clothes on this day worship Maa Katyayani who controls the planet Jupiter. Worshiping Maa Katyayani increases courage and strength.


Saptami Tithi:- 12 October 2021, Tuesday


Maa Kalratri is worshiped on this day, which symbolizes the planet Shani. Worshiping Maa Kalratri brings bravery to the devotees. You should wear royal blue colored clothes on Saptami Tithi.


Ashtami date:- 13 October 2021, Wednesday


There is a law to worship Mahagauri on Ashtami Tithi. Wearing pink colored clothes on this day is considered auspicious. Maa Mahagauri controls the planet Rahu and removes all negative forces from the lives of her devotees.


Navami date:- 14 October 2021, Thursday

On this day Sharad Navratri will end and Goddess Durga will be immersed. Sharad Dashami Tithi is also known as Vijayadashami.
