There are a total of 4 Navaratris in a year, beginning with Chaitra Navaratri. In the nine days of Navratri, nine forms of mother Durga are worshiped. Ghatsthapana is performed on the first day of Navratri. Mother Durga is considered to be the goddess of happiness, prosperity and wealth. This year Chaitra Navratri is starting from 2nd April 2022 and will continue till 11th April 2022.

Uninterrupted light is lit-

Installation of urn or installation of ghat is of special importance in Navratri. This urn is worshiped for nine days. Unbroken light is lit. The urn is considered to be a form of Lord Vishnu. Therefore, before worshiping mother Durga, the first urn is worshiped. All the deities are worshiped by setting up the urn. With this, the fast of nine days begins.

Auspicious Moment of Establishment 2022- Pandit Sahadev Ji

The auspicious moment for Chaitra Navratri will be 02 April 2022, Saturday morning from 06 hrs 22 minutes to 08 hrs 31 mins. The total duration will be 02 hours 09 minutes. Apart from this, the Abhijit Muhurat of Ghatsthapana will be from 12:08 pm to 12:57 pm. While Pratipada date will start from 11:53 a.m. on April 1, 2022 and will end at 11:58 a.m. on April 2, 2022.

Ghatsthapana Pujan Method-

1. On the first day of Navratri, get up early in the morning and take a bath.

2. After wearing clean clothes, place the urn in the house of worship.

3. Tie the sacred thread around the neck of the clay pot

4. Now fill the urn with a layer of soil and grain seeds.

5. Fill the urn with holy water and put betel nut, odor, akshat, durva grass and coins in it.

6. Place a coconut on the mouth of the urn.

7. Decorate the urn with mango leaves.

8. Chant mantras.

9. Offer flowers, fruits, incense and diya to the urn.

10. Recite Goddess Mahatmyam.

Chaitra Navratri 2022: Nine forms of mother are worshiped in Navratri. But there is a day in Navratra when mother Lakshmi is pleased by doing special adoration of mother Lakshmi. Havan is performed on this day to please Mata Lakshmi. It is said that on this day various things are offered to the mother to please her. That day is the fifth day of Navratra which is also called Chaitra Shukla Panchami. This day is considered very fruitful for the adoration of mother Lakshmi.

Chaitra Shukla Panchami is killed in connection with special worship of Lakshmi ji. It has been said that Suvidhi Lakshmi should be worshiped on Chaitra Shukla Panchami. On this day, by offering grains, turmeric, ginger, sugarcane, jaggery etc. in pujan, perform havan with lotus flowers from Lakshmisukta. If lotus is not available then burn only pieces of vine and if they are not available then only ghee. This leads to the attainment of abundant Lakshmi. Also offer red bindi, vermilion, red chunari and red bangles to mother Lakshmi. It is said that by doing so, mother Lakshmi showers her grace on the devotee.

Apart from this, eight forms of Vishnupriya Mahalakshmi should also be worshiped in Navratra. This brings happiness and prosperity in your home and increases wealth. Eight forms of Lakshmi ji are considered. The forms of Mahalakshmi are also called Ashtalakshmi.
